LCD technology borrowed from the notebook computer makers. LCD has a relatively low level of glare. The screen is really flat using lower power (5 watts versus 100 watts for almost a regular monitor). Color quality of a flat-panel active-matrix LCD can actually exceed most of the CRT display.
